Leaves and Virgin river.
This evening of Friday Dec 17 2010 was my last day of my photography class. It was total of 14 weeks. I must say that I am very happy to see my students become someone different from who they were 3 and a half months ago. They understand about themselves a bit more. They are now seeing deeper, thinking wiser, being more patient, and understanding of how to learn from the within self. We did plant some seeds into each other, and that is an amazing thing to watch it grow. Some of their works have exceeded my expectation!!! It is really amazing to watch they have grown and changed within this short time. They have taught me lessons, and allowing me to be a small part of their ways of learning. I am only imagine what would they become in the future, something good, and something different I hope.
In memory for the class, I decided to print one of an image which was photographed during this class time for everyone one copy each. An image itself is all about dream and facts of life, leaves on a sand bar. It is implied to me that everything comes and goes, but deeply connected within. It just keeps rolling over like this as long as there is still time.
Virgin river, Zion national park, Utah Nov 12 2010. KB Canham DLC 4x5 camera 120mm nikor lens Kodak T-max100 B&W film develop normal. Image is scan and work through photoshop.
